How To Create The Perfect Elevator Pitch

In the ten years that I’ve had my marketing business, this is BY FAR the biggest challenge I see with business owners. Most of us struggle to explain in a clear, concise way what we do.

Many people refer to this as an elevator pitch, but I prefer to have a a brand statement. The idea of the elevator pitch is that it’s really quick.

But what’s the rush?

I think it’s better to take an extra minute to say something with value, that more accurately describes what we do.

I have a framework that I use with my clients to help them create their brand statement. Here’s how it works:

  1. Who is your customer?
  2. What is their problem?
  3. How can you uniquely solve it?
  4. What is the outcome of working with you?

Here’s an example of how this works….

We work with business owners of small and mid-sized companies to relieve the overwhelm of marketing. At Brand Accelerator we create a marketing plan for our customers and then we execute all the tactics, like email marketing and social media. That frees up the business owner so they can do what they do best.

Give it a try. Use this format to create your own brand statement.
