In the ten years that I’ve had my marketing business, this is BY FAR the biggest challenge I see with business owners. Most of us struggle to explain in a clear, concise way what we do.
Many people refer to this as an elevator pitch, but I prefer to have a a brand statement. The idea of the elevator pitch is that it’s really quick.
But what’s the rush?
I think it’s better to take an extra minute to say something with value, that more accurately describes what we do.
I have a framework that I use with my clients to help them create their brand statement. Here’s how it works:
- Who is your customer?
- What is their problem?
- How can you uniquely solve it?
- What is the outcome of working with you?
Here’s an example of how this works….
We work with business owners of small and mid-sized companies to relieve the overwhelm of marketing. At Brand Accelerator we create a marketing plan for our customers and then we execute all the tactics, like email marketing and social media.
