I’ve seen it so many times over the years. Business leaders are creating a logo, website or ad for the first time or updating an old one and they labor over it for months. They debate over the colors and fonts. They show it to their team and their spouse and get everyone’s opinion. There are so many changes to it, that it barely resembles the original design.
It’s paralysis analysis.
I’m a big fan of having a brand that represents your business well. I think it’s super important. But in most cases your branding will not make or break your company. Spend some time creating branding that represent your business well and move on.
Spending months and months on a logo, website or ad is a waste of time. Your time would be much better spent fine tuning your business model so that you can be successful. Put the time into creating your vision and scaling, not on what color your logo is or whether the photo on the homepage of your website should be moved an inch to the left.
Again, branding is important, but give it the proper amount of time and move on so you can create a business and life you love!
